Great news though my wife and I did infact become parents! Praise God, so the day leading up to the night of our childs birth wasn't very comfortable for my wife, our baby had gone into hide and seek mode and decided to play up by turning themself in a very awkward and painful position which caused lots of trips to the microwave, heat pack in hand! After many trips my wife took a bath seems normal right! Well yeah except when she called me into the bathroom saying "babe babe" check this out! So I rushed down the hall and as soon as I looked at her stomach oh my gosh!! what was going on it looked like a scene from alien!! I'll be honest I thought we would be home birthing! Thanks to the midwife who told my wife to stay home 🙂.Ok so skipping ahead we arrived at the hospital we called the midwife and told her that we were about to have our baby, although the midwife said probably not in labour! Well she took a look at my wife and said when you feel the urge to push start pushing! There was not stop and pump some tunes it was go go go! And with in an hour of being there our beautiful little baby girl came out and looked right at me and thats when I it all became real for us this precious ball of cuteness was what we had been praying for and I actually really enjoyed watching her come out! No so much for when the placenta came out that made me feel sick! But I really was just amazed at how it all came through to fruiton. Beautiful really! Thanks again Tanya for your help and I am more prepared now for next time! Dads story.... “One of my fondest memories in my life was when I witnessed the birth of Tanya. The Matron(Jill) of the hospital phoned and said that my wife was close to delivering , that she was stressed and could I attend the Hospital to comfort her. I have 4 daughters and had not attended the birth of any of the others. When I arrived at the hospital they put a gown and mask on me and led me to the delivery room and closed the door behind me. I was conned into staying for the whole procedure. When Tanya was born I saw her take her first breath, it was the most wonderful experience - one I will never forget. She was then a very special person coming into my life and she still is very precious to me.” My Dad is turning 80 this year!
